Karate Can Do! Sponsored events

  • The Karate CAN-DO! Foundation was formed in 2008 to help children and adults with special needs to reach their full potential through the teachings and techniques of karate. To date, the Foundation has been an active supporter of a number of challenged athletes, in the form of direct scholarship support, as well a supporter of a variety of special programs directed to the challenged athlete to allow those athletes the experience of competing and sharing their gifts with the broader public.
  • Mayor Daley's Holiday Sports Festival - annual karate exhibition on the main stage at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL;
  • RIC Willis Annual Sky Climb - several of our athletes made it to the top in an event support the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago;
  • Holiday for Hope - sponsored by the Dreams for Kids Foundation; Karate Can Do supports an annual exhibition during Dream's for Kids annual Holiday party. Plans are underway for the Foundation to support the Dreams for Kids program beyond a single yearly event, extending our reach to homeless and underprivileged children;
  • Arnold Classic Martial Arts Tournament - Columbus, OH annual event showcases challenged athletes from across the country for demonstration and competition;
  • US Open - Specially Challenged Demonstration and Exhibition, Las Vegas, NV
  • Children's Memorial Hospital - Step Up for Kids, Annual, AON Center Building Climb to benefit the hospital.;
  • Botanic Gardens - Annual Demonstration during Japanese Celebration Weekend;
  • Kohl Children's Museum Annual Demonstration.
